Is there any way through the portal or any other means to stream a RSS feed?  I wanted to have something like the latest headlines of Google News to display if people are logged onto the board.

i was using an rss catcher on my forum's start page (a portal side).. can't remember the name, but just google... there are many php rss-reader-classes to download which u just have to integrate (instantiate) in a portal page (a php file inside portal/content/) accordingly to the manual of the class ;o)

rapidfeeds.com is what I use, it converts the feed to php or any other language you want.  It is pretty handy dandy....oh yeah, it is free!
