I've upload supermod v3.0.0 en now i want to install.
The beginning was ok...But when i came to the create an administrator account, everything is going wrong.
I note the right information, that i want.
After note everything, i clicked on proceed
the next text i got in my windowscreen:
Supermod Installer
Unable to connect to the MySQL server. Check your password and try again.
Its going wrong by the Database Password. but i dont now, whats going wrong
I'm really sure, that the password is right.
The programs i use:
-ftp
-plesk (i'm from holland, so i don't know, if you heard about plesk
I got it from my hosting, to use it for, myqsl, email, database, change passwords. It's not possible, to uses something else, says the hosting.
-editplus2
-frontpage
To come back on plesk..When i make a database, i had not a choise to got a password. Only by de admin-user of the database.
Now, going back to my problem....I want a password, to save my database to de rest of the world. So, i thought i note the password of the admin-user of the database, in the create an administrator account windowscreen by database password.
But nothing helps.....
I'll hope, someone can help me, so i can further.
ps. i hope everything is understanding in english, because, i'm dutch.....

Hello,
do you know password for sure? And do you know your database name? You need both: a database name and password when installing.
Maybe you can find out your password and database name somehow. If I am right it seems to me you haven't used any other php programs before. So check your web account of your hosting company for any mysql configuration information, or write them a personal mail.

I know my databasename, because, i made it in program "plesk" by my self.
When i made the database, they didn't ask for a password. After i made the database, i had to made a database-user with password.
So, i thought that password of the user, is the password of my database?
My hosting supports php, mysql and the rest...but all of them is going by program plesk.
Its not possible to use extern mysql or something else...
Yes, it's my first time, that i use php....
Earlier i made a other website only with frontpage..., but know i wanted a forum, for my new website.
Maybe i found the problem, but i'm not sure, i have to do it:
On the program plesk, there's a folder named Site applicatie installation....I don't know if i need this also?

Sounds to me your host is using mysql 5 an php 5.. Can you confirm this? They also could have errorreporting set to ALL in php.ini, which with this current availible build this would be a problem. A problem we are resolving and are currently working on for the next release build. That release build will be fully compatable with php5 and mysql5. Please confirm your host server versions.
