thanks wizi. question, should I theoretically be able to run an upgrade using the same procedures as 3.0.0?
Procedure:
# Never ever overwrite your settings.* files
## Only overwrite your template.php file if you dont care if you loose custom changes to it
### Your settings.* files need to have the file permissions set to allow "w". Change the permissions to 666 or higher for those files.
#### Backup your Settings.* files and your Template.php file and your Styles.css file. As I said, do NOT overwrite them!
1. Upload UpgradeSuperMod.php and the smupdate.sql file to your site first.
2. Run the upgrade
3. copyover the source (*.php) and language files where each belongs.
Additional Steps: If you allready have Buttons in place and are moving up from 0817 or 1203 or IF you are Upgrading from YABBSE these additional steps are required. Otherwise ignore these additional Images and Buttons Steps, keep the archive though. You want to keep the archive at least for a little while anyways.. If you find yourself missing a image you can always go back to the archive to look for it and grab it.
1. copyover the Images/General directory
2. Remove the distributed Buttons subdirectorys * or compare * (for 0812 or 1203 upgrades only)
3. copyover the distributed buttons subdirectorys
4. restore additional mood smiles into Images/General directory |

Pretty much so yes, we do try to make this painless as possible allthough not always successfull at doing so.
